Enjoy a day trip to the countryside and depending on the season, either visit the world’s biggest ice caves or the salt mines of Hallein.
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Salzburg by a comfortable panorama glass roof van. During the summertime (May till October) you will drive directly to Werfen - a countryside village in the south of Salzburg. There you can visit the ice caves and enjoy a cable car ride. After the 2.5-hour visit to the ice caves, you will return to the city of Werfen and have a look at the fortress's falconry. A visit at the 900 years old Hohenwerfen Fortress and its museum is definitely worth it.
During wintertime, when the caves are closed you will see the salt mines in Hallein instead and walk about 1.5km within the mine and find a few adventures on your way.
Please note: The tour can be booked daily, but Hohenwerfen Fortress is closed from January to March and the ice caves are closed from November to May.
