Seat back and relax in a comfy minibus and hit the road to reach Anjou and visit the abbey of Fontevraud one of the biggest abbeys in Europe. It was founded in 1101 by an itinerant preacher and disestablished as a monastery during the French Revolution to serve as a prison from 1804 to 1963.
You will have lunch at a typical French restaurant right in front of the abbey or in city center of Chinon (according to the weather).
Then you will visit the royal fortress of Chinon and lift the veil on French history secrets through the adventures of Jeanne d’Arc and Richard Coeur de Lion.
The day will end in the amazing catles of Langeais, one of the most oldest in France.
