It's the later you'll be getting involved in next with a hands-on demo of some of the village's favourite dishes. First up, you'll help prepare a typical Goan hot steamed dessert. Learn how to grind masala on a stone in the traditional way and discover how the spice transforms the flavour of mackerel cooked in hay – a rustic delicacy.Tuck into the tangy, sweet dish for lunch, all served in handcrafted earthenware crockery – it really adds to the authentic flavour. Then, with a full belly, you'll take in the traditional practice of cashew roasting. Let the rich, smoky aroma flood your senses as you learn about the methods passed down through generations of Goan villagers to perfect these nuts.

Along the way, you'll pick up plenty of insider tips you won't find in any cookbook. The experience continues with a deep dive into Feni, Goa's iconic drink. You'll sip your way through five different styles of this 500-year-old brew, paired with garnishes and even chocolate to bring out its complex flavours. Finally, you'll wrap up the day by heading to Mes Dulcina restaurant to enjoy the lunch you prepared earlier.
