You'll make your way along the Dalmatian coast towards Omis and then climb up the western slopes of the Dinaric Alps to the starting point. The descent ends a few hours later in the lower Cetina gorge.We'll head to Omis – a pretty town at the mouth of a rocky gorge on the River Cetina. From here, we'll drive up into the mountains. On arrival at the launching pad for the descent by raft, you'll be given a quick safety briefing and kitted out with wetsuits, helmets and life vests.Next, you'll take a seat in your raft, ready for a ride through the rugged canyon. Expect fast-moving rapids and calm currents as the raft skims, spins and glides over the foamy water. Your rafting adventure lasts about three hours, before ending at the lower gorge. Here, you can leave your rafts behind and jump into the river for a dip or explore the neighbouring forest.

Your day begins in Split, a bustling city built inside the walls of Roman emperor Diocletian's Palace. As you wander through its stone corridors and courtyards, you're not simply ticking off ancient ruins - you're moving through a place that still feels very much alive. Film crews once stood exactly where you're standing now, as Split's old town was used as a filming location for “Game of Thrones”. You'll have time to wander at your own pace: stop for lunch, browse small shops, or settle in and watch the world go by. You'll visit two markets and grab a typical snack at Mlinice Pantana, before heading to Trogir. Once in Trogir, you'll notice a calmer, more compact atmosphere on this small island just offshore. Its old town feels almost frozen in time, with narrow streets, elegant squares and medieval architecture. At its centre stands the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, home to the remarkable Radovan Portal. Together, Split and Trogir show two sides of Dalmatia – energetic and unhurried –, and it's that contrast that makes the day stay with you.
