This fun-filled, dynamic activity combines two fascinating elements of Bilbao – the unique Azkuna Zentroa and mouth-watering Basque cuisine. After picking you up at your accommodation, your knowledgeable local guide will accompany you to the Azkuna Zentroa, a multi-purpose venue of great cultural significance, designed by French designer Philippe Starck.
Your guide will explain the fascinating history of the building as a former wine warehouse, designed by a Basque architect and inaugurated in 1909, as well as the many other lives that the structure has lived since then. You will continue the day at the local home of your guide, where you will enjoy a nice glass of local wine with a pintxo before participating in a hands-on cooking class. You will learn to cook a full Basque meal, complete with an appetizer, entrée and dessert. After class, you will sit and share a meal, with a chance to talk to your guide about life as a local in Bilbao.
