Walk through the former territory of the famous Nizhny Novgorod Fair, the golden age of which fell on 1817-1917.
The Nizhny Novgorod Fair during its heyday was millions of feet, hands and eyes. Millions of goods and rubles. Millions of conversations, opinions, disputes and contracts! Feel the spirit of the great marketplace finding yourself in the former fairgrounds.
You will start your walk from the Oka River embankment, opposite the Grebnevskie Sands Island. You will see the Main Fair House, panoramic views of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and the Dyatlovy Gory. The splendor of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Old Fair Spassky will tell you about the merchant history. The miraculously preserved manufactory rows buildings, stone shops, opinions of eyewitnesses and much more will complement the general picture of impressions. After completing the circle, you will end the walking tour near where you started.
