From lush green landscapes in summer, to colorful trees and sunsets in autumn, to snow-capped mountains and frozen beaches in winter, Northern Norway’s nature offers stunning landscapes that will leave you speechless. Join this day trip to discover Tromsø’s beautiful surroundings, impressive fjords and Arctic wildlife. You will be traveling in a modern and comfortable minibus which is perfect for nature sightseeing.
After getting picked up at your hotel in the city centre, you will leave Tromsø behind you and head to Kvaløya (“Whale Island”), where you will visit some of the most beautiful landmarks that make Tromsø one of Norway’s most popular destinations. There are often reindeer and elk crossing the road, and you might spot sea eagles and seals hunting for fish. From mid October to late January, whales visit Tromsø’s fjords to feed on herring. During that time there is a good chance you will spot humpback whales and orcas from the shore. You will have a light lunch and hot drinks around a campfire.
Throughout the trip, your tour guide will take stunning photographs of the landscape and you that will be shared with you after the trip. There is warm clothing on board in case you get cold, but please wear something wind and rain proof.
