There are few better ways of discovering Turkey's culture and people than a visit to a market. And this daytrip is all about shopping – lots of it. Not only will you get to haggle at the famous Selcuk market but you'll also visit the Novada Outlet village, a jewellery store and a Turkish delight factory.
Your shopping extravaganza kicks off at the Novada Outlet village in Soke. You'll find a vast array of stores, selling high street fashions as well as local wares. Canvas canopies and plenty of palm trees help keep it cool during the midday heat. After almost two hours here, we'll head to the renowned Galata jewellery store. Feast your eyes on counters laden with gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones.
Next up is a Turkish delight factory, where you'll be tempted by the colourful array of tasty treats, before enjoying two hours to poke around Selcuk's spice-scented market. Check out the fresh produce, clothing and homeware and maybe find a nice souvenir.
