This half-day jaunt takes you out of Budapest’s cityscapes and zips you to Puszta – the Great Hungarian Plain. This far-stretching region of grass and wetland is dotted with horse ranches, and you’ll visit one of them to see what life is like here. Meet blue-robe-clad Cossack farmers, who’ll treat you to a horse show and a visit to the stables to see lots of farm animals. You’ll also get to trundle across the countryside in a horse-pulled carriage. Finish your visit with a glass of wine and a slice of pogaca – bread that was traditionally baked in the ashes of a fireplace – before heading back to the ship.
