What to expect

Visit Europe’s most outstanding Orthodox Jewish house of worship with your tickets to the Kazinczy Street Synagogue.

Located in the heart of Budapest, in the former Jewish Ghetto area stands the Grand Synagogue of the Orthodox Jewry, on Kazinczy Street. Opened in 1913, you'll visit Europe’s most outstanding Orthodox Jewish house of worship, protected as a national monument by the Hungarian State. It is one of the most significant Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) monuments in Hungary.

Inside, admire the walls and the ceilings that are decorated with stained mosaic windows, which illuminate the synagogue with natural light.

Ever tried Cholent (Sólet) or Flodni? You can combine your visit with a typical Hungarian Jewish cuisine experience in the glatt kosher restaurant Hanna Garden, next to the synagogue.

Use your Synagogue entrance ticket during open hours on the date you have selected. After your visit, proceed to the Hanna Garden restaurant, next to the synagogue
You will need to show your voucher at both locations (Synagogue entrance and Hanna Garden restaurant entrance)
Note, last entrance to the Synagogue is 2 hours before closing time
To use a reduced student ticket - students must be able to show a valid student ID with their voucher at the Synagogue entrance
