Experience a thrilling adventure in the jungle. Depart from your accommodation in Chiang Mai and drive approximately 90 minutes south of the city through rolling hills and forests to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary.

Walk through the jungle to reach the sanctuary and change into traditional Thai Karen clothes. Get ready for your first encounter with elephants during an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior.

After a traditional Thai lunch, learn how to make herbal medicine balls for these gentle giants, watch them bathe in the river, and see how workers at the sanctuary brush and clean them. Then it's time for a therapeutic mud spa, another great opportunity to take some amazing photos.

Not far from the sanctuary, you'll have the chance to enjoy a unique handicraft experience before heading back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
