Tossa de Mar is a pretty town, actually an ancient fishing village with an important historical background dating back to medieval times. A magnificent castle was built on the headland in 1187 to defend the old town, but today it's only invaded by tourists who want to head to the highest point to enjoy the beautiful views.
During the last 50 years, it's transformed into a popular tourist destination, which you can discover at your own pace on this trip. Wind your way through the maze of spaghetti-thin alleyways of Vila Vella - the Old Town - which are lined with shops, tapas bars and restaurants.
