What to expect

This guided tour allows you to experience Dubrovnik's medieval Old Town and its mysterious surroundings as the sun sets over the horizon.

The excursion includes a visit to secluded and popular caves and a paddle by the shores of Lokrum, the island shrouded in myth and legend. You may also enjoy a glass of wine as you rest on the coast admiring the gorgeous waters.

Prior to the start you will be given a full safety briefing and a short lesson in kayaking. You will also be provided a life jacket and waterproof barrels to bring along personal items.

This tour is designed so it can be completed by people of all ages, who are in reasonable fit shape. No prior experience is necessary.

Meeting point:

The meeting location for your tour is outside the Old Town, immediately in front of entrance to the Dubrovnik Tourist Information Center, on Pile Square. Please arrive 20 minutes before the beginning of the tour for check-in and a safety briefing. Your guide will be carrying a green umbrella and identify himself as a member of the Adventure Dubrovnik team.

What to remember

Please ensure you are on time as if arriving late you will not be refunded if this experience is missed due to this
Bring a bathing suit, towel, flip-flops or water shoes (for rocky beach terrain), sunscreen, extra snacks, hat and sunglasses
An outdoor shower and changing booths are available on site
The minimum age for participation is 12 and the maximum 60 years old
Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult
Subject to suitable weather, sea conditions and a minimum amount of people. Tour time and/or route may vary, if canceled due to poor weather and/or sea conditions, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
2-seater kayaks are provided by default. If you are on your own, you'll be paired up with others. If a pairing cannot be made, you'll be assigned to a single kayak. Single kayaks are otherwise subject to limited availability and require approval upon request

Not recommended for those with back problems, pregnant or with heart problems or other serious medical conditions
You will be served ham and cheese sandwiches, vegetarian sandwich (which cheese) is also available if the tour operator is told at least 2 hours in advance. For people with extreme food allergies, fresh fruit available (usually an apple and two bananas)
You should have a moderate physical fitness level
