What to expect

The Scottish Borders might be a term you're familiar with, but this tour gives you an even deeper understanding of their wild history, beautiful scenery and famous film locations. This southerly part of the country is made up of rugged landscapes and quaint towns and villages. You will stop at Dryburgh Abbey, famous for being the resting place of Sir Walter Scott, so you'll start with fascinating history from the offset. This is found in Melrose, and the next stop is Melrose Abbey, which is said to be home to Robert the Bruce's heart, but it's best not to go searching for it in these beautiful ruins.

The real gem of this tour awaits you next, as you make your way to Alnwick Castle. Being home to the Duke of Northumberland, this is the UK's second largest inhabited castle. Not only is it beautiful inside but the gardens are something to be marvelled at, especially if you're a Harry Potter or Downton Abbey fan. You might even recognize it as the backdrop to Harry's first flying scene if you're a real Potterhead, so why not bring your broomstick along and try your hand at flying!

Back on the road, you will head to North Berwick, an iconic red sandstone harbour with views to the islands, and at the world-famous Bass Rock. Stroll along the beach and breathe in the sea air before heading back home.
