The Tour winds its way through the narrow "caruggi" (narrow streets) and ancient piazzas of Genoa's historic center. You'll visit highlights such as the Cathedral, the Ducal Palace and the Carlo Felice Opera House, churches, votive shrines and countless treasures of the ancient city. The tour ends with a visit to "Strada Nuova" (Via Garibaldi), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll be able to freely enter the Strada Nuova Museums, Genoa's main museum center containing a rich collection of masterpieces by Italian and foreign artists between the 15th and 19th centuries-with a notable representation of the Genoese and Flemish schools.
At the end of the visit you'll get to know the Genoese tradition with a light lunch among the carrugi: a glass of Ligurian wine or soft drink, water, focaccia tasting, trofie with pesto or pansoti with walnut sauce.
