What to expect
Spend your day caring for Asian elephants. Have a unique, hands-on experience with Asia's largest land animal in sanctuaries created just for them. Meet and feed the elephants. Take them to the river and help scrub and bathe them. Prepare their daily food, including cleaning fruits and vegetables, planting and gathering sugarcane or banana grass, and cooking sticky rice for the old elephants. Experienced volunteers from around the world will give you insight into these magnificent animals' personalities, habits, and individual histories.For those wanting more time with the elephants, overnight and longer stays can be arranged upon request. For the more adventurous, there are also tours (3 days / 2 nights) to search for wild elephants and other animals in the surrounding Thai forest.
