What to expect

Discover the Karst region and see the main highlights of south-western Slovenia! See the amazing Postojna Cave and the monumental castle of Predjama.

In the morning your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Ljubljana. After a one-hour drive, you will arrive at Postojna Cave. Take a train ride into the underworld labyrinth and explore the caves by foot. The next step is the Predjama Castle. Pass through the forest and reach the monument perched on a cliff above the river. See the cave opening which gave the name to the castle (literally "castle before the cave"). Explore the chambers and stairwells and learn about the castle’s most famous resident, Slovenian Robin Hood- knight Erasmus. Depending on the schedule you might as well take a secret route and reveal hidden and forgotten gems on your way back to Ljubljana.
