You'll have three experiences in one on this trip, which starts with a visit to the world-famous Valley of the Kings. There are sixty-plus tombs here of some of Egypt's ancient pharaohs, including the iconic Tutankhamun. Next, you'll visit the Hatshepsut Temple – a striking three-tier temple that's been standing for thousands of years and rises above the desert floor. After your visit here, you'll head back to the river for a 60-minute trip along the Nile on a felucca. This traditional wooden boat, with a canvas sail, will glide you past Luxor city's modern apartments, monuments and floating hotels, and back to your ship. You'll have a certified Egyptologist with you for the whole trip, so there'll be plenty of chances to ask questions and find out more about all of the sights. Just so you know, entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI aren't included. Entrance tickets for these sites can be purchased at the Valley of the Kings using debit or credit card only. On this tour, there will also be a short stop at a traditional Alabaster factory where you'll have chance to purchase locally made souvenirs. Depending on wind conditions, the felucca may be helped to sail by a motorboat.
