This tour is for those who believe that there's much more of Philadelphia to be explored than just the Liberty Bell. Home to the oldest and largest everyday open-air markets, this Philadelphia tour will fill your calorie quota with cheese, chocolate, deli items, baked goods and other culinary delights!
Meet your enthusiastic local guide and begin a Philly culinary adventure to remember, walking through the neighbourhood of Bella Vista in South Philly. Have a drink at a local coffee shop; then swing by a historic deli, duck into a tempting bakery, and stroll along Christian Street before arriving at the noises, aromas, and sights of the famous Italian or, more accurately, 9th Street Market.
Let yourself be guided through the colourful streets and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of delicious smells. As you wander past cheeses, chocolates, spices, and olive oils you'll explore the huge variety of local bakeries, butchers and other stores, many of which are Italian in heritage and give good discount to travellers.
Then, you'll head straight towards the Mexican stores located in the area where Rocky ran through the streets on one of his famous training runs. Delight your senses with aromas and sights from a selection of nearby Asian stores! Enjoying a famous Philly Cheesesteak bought from one of the local restaurants will probably be the most delicious way to end your Philadelphia market tour.
