What to expect

During this tour, you'll feed, observe and walk with the elephants in the most spectacular forest sanctuary.

After a convenient hotel pickup, arrive at the Forest Sanctuary in Phuket and enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. Sit back while watching a presentation and educational video about the protection of elephants and important safety rules.

Then, enjoy an amazing and respectful encounter with the elephants and feed them. Take a scenic walk with them through the forest observing and learning about the elephants including their history, their stories and their unique personalities. Relax in the Bamboo Observation Huts as the elephants’ graze, play in the mud or bathe nearby with stunning views of the forest and a view over the valley to Big Buddha.

Make sure your camera is fully charged as there are lots of fabulous photo and video opportunities and plenty of time to thoroughly enjoy this peaceful nature reserve. With an abundance of butterflies and dragonflies, you will often see eagles soaring the skies and parrots flying through the trees.

End your visit with a delicious Thai buffet, dining in the fabulous Bamboo Salas overlooking the ponds and forest as the elephants’ bathe and graze nearby.

Meeting point:

Pickup service is included from your hotel or guesthouse in Phuket. Please provide your address for pickup at the time of booking. You will be provided with an exact pickup time via email before your tour begins.

Not suitable for:

You will be walking slowly uphill, not fast and with lots of sitting and observing, so the tour is not strenuous, however it is not suitable for people with advanced walking difficulties

Extra fees to be paid on-site:

If you book the tour with pickup from the Thalang area (Cherngtalay, Paklok, Airport, Mai Khao, etc) there is a 250 THB per person surcharge payable in cash on arrival. This is due to the distance required for transfer

Know in advance:

The tour starts at 2pm but your pickup time will be earlier, depending on the location of your hotel
This experience is mainly about elephants, so you'll be given the most amount of time possible to enjoy these spectacular animals
It's recommended to wear comfortable shoes, however in most cases flip flops might also be ok
Videos and photos are amazing with rain and the elephants love it. So if it is raining, don't worry, but come and join
Infants (age 0-2) can join for free and don't need a ticket
