What to Expect
This experience includes a guided visit to the estate, scheduled either before or after lunch. During the tour, guests explore the vineyards and key areas of the property while gaining insight into organic viticulture, sustainable farming practices, and the influence of the local terroir on the wines.
Our hosts provide a clear understanding of what organic wine production entails in practice, from vineyard management without chemical herbicides or pesticides to a low-intervention approach in the cellar. Guests are also introduced to the range of wines produced on the estate, including fresh, expressive dry wines and Port, with explanations of grape varieties, ageing techniques, and the distinctive character of the Douro Valley.
The experience culminates in a traditional Portuguese lunch, served in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The meal is composed of four courses, each thoughtfully paired with estate wines:
- Three dry Douro wines paired with the starters and main dishes
- One Port wine paired with a traditional dessert
All ingredients are seasonal, locally sourced, and, whenever possible, produced on the estate itself. Vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary requirements can be fully accommodated with prior notice.
