Imagine a guided walking tour through the narrow medieval streets of Porto, and 2 young girls in medieval costumes approaching to surprise you with 2 degustations and tastings. A journey back to medieval times! This experience is part of STEP, a selection of walking tours designed as a way to discover a destination in more depth, finding hidden gems, meeting the locals, and exploring off the beaten path.
This walking tour will allow you to better understand the history of Porto since medieval times, until the main trade activities of the 18th-century, such as textiles, and Port Wine. Starting from Morro’s garden, your local guide will present you the old city of Porto, from Morro's viewpoint to the Cathedral of Porto passing through the iconic Luis I Bridge. After visiting the cathedral, 2 young girls will appear in medieval costumes, the Tripeiras (Porto locals), who will share with you a replica of an old tile from the city.
Don't miss the chance to enjoy 2 tastings served by the Tripeiras, the traditional Pastel de Nata with coffee or tea and, a typical Bolinho de Bacalhau with a glass of Green Wine, while you enjoy a panoramic view of the medieval city. At the end of your experience, you'll visit Casa do Infante, where your guide will share with you the reason why the locals of Porto have the name of Tripeiros!
