What to expect

Once you’ve eaten, you’ll head back into the museum for a tour of the most famous artifacts, including the Belvedere Torso, the Apollo Belvedere, the Laocoön Group, and Raphael Rooms, widely considered to be among the most beautifully-frescoed interiors on earth.

Then, enter the Sistine Chapel before most of the crowd does and spend a peaceful 30mins soaking up Michelangelo’s masterpiece before heading into St. Peter's Basilica via a special access tunnel straight from the Vatican Museums. There's no better place to cap off your morning at this sacred space.

St. Peter's Basilica may be closed during special celebrations, including the Easter ceremonies. If this occurs during your visit, you will spend more time inside the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums
if the door leading to St. Peter's Basilica is not open, and it is not possible to access the Basilica from the Museums, the guide will continue the tour to the Pinacoteca
you can only carry small handbags inside the Vatican Museums. Larger backpacks and big pointy umbrellas must be left in the cloakroom. It is your responsibility to return to the Museum's entrance to collect them after the tour
the special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St.Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days you will instead explore the Pinacoteca Gallery. Your guide will still give you an introduction to the church should you wish to visit this on your own at a later occasion. No refunds or discounts will be provided.
