Things to do in Sylhet

A prosperous city in western Bangladesh, Sylhet offers a provincial atmosphere in the form of a bustling city. Known especially for its tea, Sylhet was Bangladesh’s first location of commercial tea production. Make sure to visit one of the region’s 140 tea estates to try a variety of fresh local tea. Walking around the city, you will notice an iconic red clocktower and numerous historical monuments. From Sylhet, you can easily get out of town to explore the beautiful nearby national parks with impressive waterfalls, including the famous Hun Hun Falls.
