What to expect

Join a tour to the city of Syracuse, south of Taormina, to see one of the most ancient Greek colonies in Sicily - included as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005.

Depart by bus with a tour leader on board to meet your local guide in Syracuse. Upon arrival, you'll visit the Archaeological Area of Syracuse dating back to the fifth century. B.C. with a Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, the Altar of Hieron II and the Latomies of Paradise with the Ear of Dionysius.

Afterwards, travel to historical center located on the island of Ortygia, to discover the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedral that was built on an ancient temple, and the Arethusa Spring with the famous papyrus plant. Before your return trip, you will have free time to walk to the Grand Harbor with the Foro Italica.
