Your immersive Erg Chebbi desert experience begins at the entrance of Café Restaurant Chez Ibrahim in Khamlia, where your driver will meet you. Journey across Merzouga's golden dunes and lunar landscapes in a 4×4 vehicle while gaining insight into daily life in this iconic Moroccan region.
The first stop takes you to a nomadic family living in the desert. You'll be welcomed with traditional mint tea and experience their ancestral way of life characterised by simplicity, resilience, and hospitality. Afterwards, continue to the village of Khamlia, renowned for its vibrant Gnawa musical heritage, where you'll enjoy a live performance by local musicians whose rhythms and chants originate from ancient sub-Saharan traditions.
There's an option to enjoy a traditional lunch or Berber Madfouna 'pizza' prepared in the village (not included in the price). The excursion concludes back at Khamlia.
