Are you looking for a new adventure? Perhaps you are a beginner and would like to experience untouched skiing outside of regular ski resorts. This tour will introduce you to Norwegian backcountry skiing in the utmost excellent surroundings and takes place completely outside of ski resorts.
The agenda for the day will be to have the best possible experience while staying safe. You should be able to ski moderate blue runs and have an average fitness level for uphill hikes if you intend to participate in this tour.
Specialized tour bindings where heels stay unattached on uphill walks are required for an effective hike through the snow, but for the descent, it must be able to be locked. Snowboarders with split-boards are also able to participate if they are equipped with similar bindings and skins as skiers.
The decision for the skiing area will be based on the group’s preferences, weather & snow conditions, and avalanche forecast. Some of the possible ski areas are Mount Oksen (Hardangerfjord), the Raundalen mountains, and Vikafjell.
