1. Swim at La Pelosa Beach

La Pelosa is Stintino’s star attraction, with shallow turquoise water, pale sand, and views towards Torre della Pelosa, a 16th-century watchtower standing just offshore. You can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, or simply walk through the clear shallows while taking in the surrounding islands. The beach is particularly popular in summer, so arriving early gives you more time to enjoy it at a quieter pace.

2. Explore Asinara National Park

From Stintino, you can take a boat trip across to Asinara National Park, a protected island known for its rugged coastline and unusual wildlife. You can hike or cycle along former prison roads, swim in secluded coves, and look out for the island’s famous white donkeys. Boat excursions also let you explore the coastline from the water, with plenty of opportunities to stop for swimming and snorkelling.

3. Wander the harbour and enjoy Sardinian seafood

Stintino grew from a small fishing community, and the harbour still gives the village much of its character. You can stroll along the waterfront, watch boats heading out into the bay, and settle into a restaurant for grilled fish, octopus, or aragosta alla catalana, a local lobster dish served with tomatoes and onion. As evening arrives, the pace slows and the waterfront becomes a great spot for an aperitivo overlooking the sea.
