Beschreibung

Erleben Sie die legendäre Aufführung von Vivaldis "Vier Jahreszeiten" des Orchester 1756 auf Barockinstrumenten.

Der italienische Komponist Vivaldi zog 1740, drei Jahre nach Fertigstellung der beeindruckenden Karlskirche, nach Wien. Vivaldis Aufenthalt in Wien verlief jedoch nicht sehr glücklich. Verarmt starb er hier am 28. Juli 1741 und wurde in der Karlskirche am "Spitaller Gottsacker" beigesetzt. Sein Grab, wie das von Mozart, blieb nicht erhalten.

Eine der berühmtesten Kompositionen Vivaldis, die "Vier Jahreszeiten", lebt weiter. Vier revolutionäre Violinkonzerte über vier Gedichte von Vivaldi, die Gewitter und Blitze enthalten, Eis brechen, Vögel zwitschern und Hunde bellen lassen, sowie viele weitere spektakuläre Eindrücke musikalisch darbieten.
