Esta tradición, que se celebra cada mes de agosto y se remonta a décadas atrás, nació como homenaje a un pirotécnico local conocido como "el tío Blai, el roquero", y se ha convertido en un gran acontecimiento mediterráneo que atrae a más de 70.000 espectadores. El espectáculo, avalado por la UNESCO, se lanza enteramente desde el mar, lo que realza la vista desde la costa.
