Qué te espera

The whitewashed villages of Andalusia are places where old traditions continue to arouse the passions of the locals. This special excursion will take you to Zahara de la Sierra to experience first-hand the ancient festival of Corpus Christi, when the town is bedecked with greenery. You'll also visit the gorge-side town of Ronda – a true Andalusian gem.

You'll wind your way up into highlands through olive groves and along the edge of a reservoir to Zahara de la Sierra. The village will be in the middle of Corpus Christi festival, when the centre is decked out in grass and shrubbery. You'll have also have some free time to wander around the cobbled streets under the shadow of the ruins of the hilltop Moorish citadel.

Afterwards, you'll visit the ancient town of Ronda, which is perched on the side of a 120-metre-deep gorge. You'll have time to see sights such as the Mondragon Palace, the Church of Santa Maria de la Mayor and, of course, the vertigo-inducing bridge connecting the famous gorge.
