This activity offers a group surf package designed for two to six people, providing an enriching experience that lasts approximately ninety minutes. This comprehensive lesson aims to broaden your understanding of surfing, starting with a detailed overview of handling the surfboard both in and out of the water.
The instructors will then guide you through a proven pop-up technique, which has been instrumental in helping countless beginners catch their first wave. You'll learn how to read waves, understanding where and when to catch them, boosting your confidence and independence in the water. The course also covers essential surf safety, including how to safely exit off your surfboard and protect your face during nose dives.
If you've had previous lessons, the instructors will evaluate your current ability at the start of the session, tailoring their coaching to help you progress and focus on areas for improvement. Steering left and right on a wave is another skill you'll acquire. Above all, this lesson promises plenty of fun as you ride your first waves in Cape Town.
