Your journey commences with a departure from Tokyo Station towards Kanazawa, where you'll meet your guide. This village, renowned for its traditional gassho-zukuri houses with their distinctive steep thatched roofs resembling praying hands, was ingeniously designed to endure heavy snowfall. You'll have the opportunity to savour lunch at your leisure and meander through the tranquil streets. Take time to appreciate the historic architecture, local artisan workshops, and the timeless tranquillity that pervades the atmosphere.
The tour then proceeds to Kenrokuen, regarded as one of Japan’s most exquisite gardens. This sanctuary seamlessly blends art and nature, offering a truly singular experience regardless of the season. Its ponds mirror the surrounding trees and flowers, while elegant bridges, stone lanterns, and meticulously crafted pathways contribute to an ambiance of peace and harmony.
