Begin je dag met de trip naar de Slanic Salt Mine. Deze zoutmijn, gelegen in een prachtige omgeving, werd in 1938 voor het eerst geopend en om die te bereiken gaat u 400 meter naar beneden. Het microklimaat binnenin maakt het een van de favoriete plekken voor zowel de lokale bevolking als reizigers.
Ook met een constante temperatuur van nooit meer dan 54 graden Fahrenheit (12 graden Celsius) is het een perfecte plek om te bezoeken in een hete zomer. Je volgende stop is een unieke en ook een vreemde plek - de moddervulkanen. Deze kleine vulkanen staan slechts een paar meter boven de grond en bestaan alleen vanwege een unieke combinatie van water en natuurlijke gassen die een maanachtig terrein creëren.
De volgende stop is het Ciolanu-klooster, een prachtig klooster van Oosters-orthodoxe monniken. Het staat bekend om zijn iconen uit de late 19e eeuw, geschilderd door de beroemde kunstenaar Tatarascu.
