Begin je ochtend met een ontbijt inbegrepen voor een busrit en wandeltour door de oude stad om je te oriënteren en enkele vanaf de topbezienswaardigheden vanaf Istanboel te zien, zoals het kasteel vanaf Beylerbey, de 14e-eeuwse Galatatoren en de Blauwe Moskee. Daarna heb je vrije tijd om zelf rond te dwalen in deze bruisende stad. Je kunt een kijkje nemen in de Grand Bazaar, vol traditionele Turkse ambachten zoals tapijten, keramiek en sieraden. Geschiedenisfanaten kunnen terecht in de 1.500 jaar oude Hagia Sophia, of als je zin hebt in een boottocht over de Bosporus, is er een optionele boottocht voor je gepland - het is maar dat je het weet, hier zijn extra kosten aan verbonden. De nachtelijke terugkeer naar je Bulgaarse hotel is de moeite waard voor een dag vol geschiedenis, cultuur en een sprong over de rivier naar een heel nieuw continent.
