Guided Atlas Mountains 4x4 tour
From sea level to high altitude, this is a full day trip with a side-order of adventure. You'll travel by 4x4 into the Atlas Mountains from the coastal plains of Agadir to discover the Berber village of Imouzzer Ida Outanane. Jamal, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Imouzzer means “waterfall” in Berber, the language of the Atlas Mountains. Indeed, there are several waterfalls in the heart of our green valley, a place known especially for the quality of its honey.'Your High Atlas Mountains off-road adventure begins with a light breakfast and then a photo stop at the cool, palm-clad Tamzargout oasis, where you can stretch our legs. As we travel higher up into the mountains, the jaw-dropping views over Paradise Valley are sure to leave an impression. We'll arrive in the village of Immouzer to see how life in a typical Berber mountain community unfolds. On hot days, you might see local kids jumping off the rocks into the natural pools just outside the village. As you stroll around the village, you'll pass stalls selling Moroccan souvenirs and the prized local honey. Jamal says, ‘My mother used to prepare an artisanal treat known as “amlou”, made with Immouzer honey mixed with crushed almonds and argan oil, a real Berber delicacy.' Next it's time for an al fresco lunch prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You'll have some free time to relax and take in your dramatic surroundings before we return to Agadir through a different route in the mountains.

Private half-day trip to Taroudant from Agadir
Consider your Morocco morning sorted. This half-day trip packs in a scenic drive, an old walled city beneath the Atlas peaks and a medina made for wandering. The early start pays off quickly as the road from Agadir opens into wide plains and argan forest. Then, just before you roll into the city, you'll pause for a few snaps of its 15th-century ramparts rising over the landscape. Once inside the walls, the city slows you down. You'll settle in with a glass of mint tea before strolling into the medina, where you can explore at your own pace. The maze-like lanes are packed with little workshops and colourful stalls selling all kinds of goods from thyme-flavoured honey, warm breads and freshly pressed argan oil to handwoven baskets, traditional rugs and carved wooden trinkets. After seeing how far your haggling skills will take you, you'll wrap up your visit by making your way back towards Agadir with one last look at the Souss Valley. It's a simple, scenic half-day trip that gives you a little taste of Morocco's way of life.
