Immerse yourself in a neighborhood where US soldiers practiced house-to-house warfare, where houses were renovated on private initiative and migrants found a new home.
The heart of "36", as the district is still called after its former postcode, is Oranienstrasse with its many legendary clubs and pubs. The walk, partly along the former course of the wall, takes you back to the 70s / 80s: Georg von Rauch House, Bethanien, Mariannenplatz - the protest band sang "Ton Steine Scherben" about it and was at the forefront of the squatting.
A very special occupation was Grandpa Osman - get to know his history and experience a lively district that is now home to a wide variety of people - between graffiti, wagons and luxury lofts.
