Away from the beach bars and tourist spots, Turkey is hiding some tucked away gems. Calling by tiny villages like Gumusluk and Yalikavak, you'll explore markets, mosques and teahouses to sample a true taste of local life. What's more, there's a tasty lunch included and a chance to dip your toes in the Aegean.
The trip gets under way in Gumusluk – both a tiny fishing village and the site of ancient Myndos, whose ruins you can clearly see jutting out of the water. It also has a 250-year-old church and a couple of coves to its name. Next up is Rabbit Island, a rocky outcrop joined to the village by a causeway. Slip off our shoes and wander along the underwater footpath to meet the inhabitants – the lop-eared bunnies that gave name to the island.
After lunch, there's time to rummage through the stalls of Yalikavak market before rounding off at an ornate mosque and a stop by a teahouse.
