Canberra is a natural outdoor gym, with extensive bike trails, climbing facades, fishing or paddling facilities, and many campgrounds. This beautifully planned city is enveloped by parks and nature reserves, which make it an ideal destination for sport enthusiasts: the largely forested valley of Tidbinbilla is only a 40-minute drive away and, in the area, you’ll easily discover waterfalls, gorges, rivers, lookouts and snow-capped mountains; native animals and picturesque flora are frequently encountered in the city’s natural surrounds. Also, Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin is a gorgeous expanse of water used for leisure activities including, kayaking, windsurfing and hot air ballooning.
