Take part in a hands-on cooking experience near Chiang Mai that combines practical instruction with a local market visit. The class is held in a traditional Lanna-style house, set in a quiet environment that provides a relaxed setting for learning about Thai cuisine.
The experience starts with a guided walk through a local market, where you'll be introduced to key Thai ingredients, herbs and spices. Your guide explains how these ingredients are selected and how they're used in everyday cooking. After the market visit, you'll return to the cooking school to prepare a selection of traditional dishes, such as pad Thai, green curry, tom yum soup and mango sticky rice.
