What to expect

The MuséoParc Alésia is based around three sites: the Museum, the Gallo-Roman ruins and the statue of Vercingetorix.

Discover a unique structure full of symbolism designed by famous architect Bernard Tschumi. Inside, an educational trail built around archaeological discoveries and hypotheses that have been confirmed by scientists places Alésia firmly within the context of the War of the Gauls (from 58 to 51 B.C).

Explore the background of the conflict and how the battle that pitched Vercingétorix against César unfolded, complete with archaeological findings and the myths of the Gauls. Maps, films, displays, scale models, multi-media features and entertainments intended for all ages enhance the experience!
