Elaphite Islands

There are more than 1,000 islands in Croatia – but few are more beautiful than the 13 in the Elaphite Islands. After pick-up at your hotel, we'll head for Gruz port to hop on a boat and sail to Lopud. The second largest island in the archipelago is car-free and mostly covered in thick woodlands, among which can be found long-abandoned chapels. You'll have free time to wander around the picturesque old harbour or drop into the Franciscan monastery. We'll then sail to Sipan, the largest of the islands, for a lunch of either fish or chicken. It used to be the summer playground of Dubrovnik aristocrats.

Scenic Train Ride Through Konavle Valley

Mljet Island Tour

Over two-thirds of Mljet is covered in forest, so this Adriatic gem is as unspoilt as they come. On this half-day, small-group trip by van you'll trundle through most of the villages on the island, stop off at Babino Polje, and hit the sandy beach in Saplunara for some much-deserved swimming.As the largest of the islands in the Dubrovnik archipelago, there's plenty to explore around forested Mljet – including legends surrounding Odysseus. You'll head inland by bus, ticking off a string of villages and lookout points for photo opportunities with the Adriatic Sea as the backdrop.Then, once you reach the largest settlement, Babino Polje, you'll be able to get out and about, taking in the 15th century Rector's Palace and Renaissance buildings as you wander around. The Best of Montenegro
