For only a limited time each year, Gran Canaria's hillsides are transformed into a carpet of pink and white confetti – meaning it must be almond blossom season. You'll join the locals of Tejeda for the annual festival that celebrates the 200,000 almond trees on the island with traditional food stalls, local crafts, music and Canarian folklore. This community, tucked into the heart of the island's mountains, is proud to welcome visitors to see their village in full bloom. You can expect to try local products and learn about traditional customs linked to the almond harvest.
