You'll discover Ladenburg, a historic town on the banks of the Neckar River, known for its Roman heritage, half-timbered architecture and relaxed atmosphere. On this half-day small-group tour, you'll travel from Heidelberg in a comfortable van and visit one of the region's best-preserved historic centres.
A guided walking tour takes you through the protected old town, where more than 120 half-timbered houses line narrow streets, small squares and winding alleyways. You'll see the imposing city wall and visit the market square, the heart of Ladenburg, while learning about the town's long history.
After the tour, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace or buy something to eat and drink. Later, you'll walk to the Neckar River and its landing stage, where a small stretch of beach creates a pleasant setting to unwind.
