Ibiza Island Tour with Can Marca Caves, Las Salinas and Portinatx

This tour shines the spotlight on all four corners of the island. Calling by Las Salinas, Portinatx and San Miguel, you'll also stop by the party town of San Antonio or upscale Santa Eulalia. Lucia, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Ibiza once relied on salt production, and while the salt pans are still in use, they are now protected as part of a much larger nature reserve in order to safeguard the wildlife – in particular the many species of birds that use the area as a staging post as they migrate from Africa to Europe. Look out for the distinctive pink flamingos wading through the ponds.'In the morning, you'll pass by the snowy-white salt flats of Las Salinas. A huge patchwork of wetlands, it was the isle's chief earner for over 2,000 years. In the cutesy village of San Jose, you can grab a coffee in the town square or visit the attention-grabbing 18th century fortress church. The village retains a traditional Ibizan vibe, and enjoys a scenic location on the foothills of Sa Talaia, Ibiza's tallest mountain, which reaches 475 metres. After a short photo stop in San Antonio or Santa Eulalia – depending on your departure point – you'll have some free time to potter around the pretty coastal resort of Portinatx and choose from one of the local restaurants for a typical lunch. Your final stop is the dinky port of San Miguel, clustered around its narrow cove, and the Caves of Can Marca. A tour of the caves rounds off with a short sound and light show before heading back to resort.

Glass-bottom boat cruise on Ibiza’s west coast

Sunshine, sea breeze and underwater views – it's the dream combo. You'll drift out of Port des Torrent on a glass-bottom boat, watching fish glide beneath your feet before heading to the Cap Blanc natural aquarium. At this former lobster farm, keep a look out for wrasse, damselfish and the occasional octopus – they like hiding in the nooks and crannies of the seabed around the Pityusic Islands. Then, it's all about the coastline as you pass the picturesque shores of Ibiza's west coast. At Cala Gracio, you'll see golden sands and pine-covered slopes, before moving onto more dramatic rocky cliffs at Cala Salada and the layered rock terraces of Punta Galera. As you approach the Margarita Islands, you'll drop anchor for around 45 minutes. This is your chance to swim and snorkel in the clear waters before enjoying a snack and some refreshments back on board. You'll cruise back to port, admiring the views with a cold drink in hand.

Formentera and s’Espalmador Catamaran Cruise with BBQ

This is a day dedicated to pure relaxation in arguably the most exotic waters in the Mediterranean. You'll drift over from Ibiza in a catamaran, scooting by the islands of Formentera and s'Espalmador for some well-deserved sunbathing and swimming. There's a barbecue lunch on board, too, so everything's taken care of. Antoni, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘I'm from the Balearics, and even for me, s'Espalmador is a dream. A virgin islet surrounded by clean waters and untouched by civilisation.'Leaving the sun-kissed shores of Ibiza behind, you'll skim the surface of the azure Med as you sail towards s'Espalmador. You'll moor up so that you can step off the catamaran and explore the isle's Insta-perfect powder-white beach or cool down with a swim as your crew gets lunch underway. This uninhabited island is surrounded by a string of smaller islets, and the channel separating it from Formentera is so shallow that you can wade over.Back on board, you'll get to tuck into a barbecue, accompanied by salad and fresh fruit, all made from locally sourced ingredients. Then, hop on over to Formentera, Ibiza's tropical little sister, for another swim. This exclusive island has managed to stay under the radar despite being ringed by enticing fluorescent seas and rocky inlets. To protect the submarine eco-system, especially the fragile underwater posidonia meadows, the boat doesn't anchor, and no plastics are used on board.
