There's a serious side to Lanzarote and a fun side. And this half-day excursion neatly divides its attention to both. You'll kick off with some dramatic scenery and awesome geological activity at the legendary Timanfaya National Park before having a laugh on a camel safari in the park.
In Timanfaya – if there's one thing you do in Lanzarote, this has to be it – you'll encounter an active volcano, feeling the heat beneath your feet, witnessing brushwood burn into flames and steaming geysers shooting from the ground. Then see the destructive power of the volcano over the years as you journey through lava fields and pass the craters through a desolate landscape more befitting another planet.
Next, we're off for a little fun and laughter with a camel ride. You'll traipse through the national park and learn about the contribution these animals have made to life in Lanzarote. There'll also be free time at the volcano visitor centre, where children are encouraged to ask questions. A fun day out for all the family.
