What to expect

Spend the day like a local and drive a snowmobile to a frozen lake to go ice fishing. Enjoy a tasty campfire BBQ in the wild surrounded by winter sceneries. It cannot get more Finnish than this.

Meet your guide and after gearing up and a short safety briefing you will hop on your snowmobile and drive off into the wild. Follow your guide over the snowy trails, through snow-covered pine tree forest towards a frozen lake. Here, your guide will show you how to ice fish. Drill a hole in the ice and with your fishing rod, you wait for the fish to bite. Meanwhile, your guide will prepare a campfire and warm up a delicious soup. If you were lucky, you can even grill your own catch.

After lunch, you will drive your snowmobile back to the starting point.

Meeting point:

Pickup service is possible from locations within a 10km radius around Levi, please insert the pickup and dropoff location of your choice in the dedicated field at checkout. In case you do not use the pickup service, meet directly at the Safartica office (located at Hiihtäjänkuja 10, 99130 Sirkka, Finland). Make sure to arrive 20-minutes before departure time at the Safartica office.

What to remember

This tour requires a minimum of 2 tickets per booking
Children of 0 to 14 years old will be seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile. It is recommended that one of the parents sits with a small child in the sledge
Children can join the snowmobile as a passenger, a minimum height of 140 cm is then required and a full adult price will be charged
In order to drive a snowmobile you must hold a valid driving license (B), please remember to take it with you
A snowmobile will be shared with another passenger
You are held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. You can purchase self-liability insurance of €15 before the start of the tour.
Please make sure to arrive at the meeting point 20-minutes before the scheduled departure time
Pickup service is possible from locations within a 10km radius around Levi, please insert the pickup and dropoff locations of your choice in the dedicated field at checkout
