The forest-capped peaks, vast plateaus and rolling green hills of southwest Madeira will be in focus on this tour. You'll experience all the different terrains – including the only yellow-sand beach on the island, a 4x4 drive towards the Paul da Serra plateau and lunch on Pico da Urze. That's all between stops at a ‘poncha' workshop and wine estate.
Leaving behind Funchal, you'll begin your foray into Madeira's ever-changing landscape at Calheta Beach, the only yellow-sand beach on the island. After free time for swimming, you'll head to Quinta Pedagógica dos Prazeres, a community project with a farm and traditional tea house. Then buckle up for an off-road adventure towards the Paul da Serra plateau.
Roll down the window to take in the smell of eucalyptus trees. You'll eventually reach your destination for lunch – a restaurant on Pico da Urze – which also includes a ‘poncha' drink workshop. We'll drive along the plateau through to Serra de Água before your final stop at the oldest and biggest Madeira wine producers on the island, Henriques & Henriques, for a tasting.
