Zócalo is the world's 3rd largest square, surrounded by Mexico's most important political power buildings such as the National Palace, the City Hall, the Justice Palace, and the Cathedral. Continue to Xochimilco, a town-like neighbourhood located in the southern part of the city. Explore Xochimilco's renowned canals, the last remnants of an enormous transport system that the Aztecs built. Enjoy a 1-hour ride on a trajinera, a colourful boat similar to a gondola. Next, you will visit the UNAM's Campus (the National University of Mexico) to admire the famous murals by Diego Rivera, O'Gorman, and Siqueiros.
