Know in advance:

• Partecipation Criteria are Pursuant to Article 34 of the FIDAL Rules for the Organization of Events, the following may participate:

1. Italian and foreign athletes registered for 2026 with FIDAL-affiliated clubs and belonging to the Junior (18-19 years old, only for the Half Marathon and relay), Promising Athletes (20-22 years old), Seniors (23-34 years old), and Masters categories. Pursuant to art. 35 of the Rules for the Organization of Events, registration must be completed by the legal representative of the club to which they belong or by their delegate, provided that they are included in the management and technical staff of the same, by the athletes' agents (regularly registered with FIDAL or WA), authorized by the athlete's club to which they belong to carry out registrations on its behalf, or by the athlete themselves, subject to authorization from their club

2. Athletes registered with foreign Federations affiliated with the WA , signing, if not registered by their own Federation, Club, or Agent, the appropriate self-declaration membership form. Download the form
   Non-EU athletes must present a residence permit or entry visa. If an athlete belongs to a foreign Federation that requires authorization to compete abroad (Rule 1 of Book C Competition C3.1 WA and related WA press release), the registration must be accompanied by the same

3. Athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Organization (with a specific athletics card) affiliated with FIDAL and in possession of a RUNCARD-EPS, limited to those aged 20 years or older (age 2006 or older). "Runcard Mountain and Trail" and "Runcard Nordic Walking" are not eligible.
   Please note: possession of a RUNCARD is not sufficient. Their participation is, however, subject to possession of a valid medical certificate of fitness for competitive athletics (no other wording). They must attach a copy of the certificate at the time of registration.
   These athletes will be regularly included in the race rankings, but will not be eligible for reimbursements, bonuses, or access to the prize pool

4. Italian and foreign athletes , limited to persons aged 20 years and over (age 2006), not registered with a club affiliated with FIDAL or with a foreign Athletics Federation affiliated with WA, but in possession of a Runcard. “Runcard Mountain and Trail” and “Runcard Nordic Walking” are not permitted.
   Please note: possession of RUNCARD cards is not sufficient. Their participation is however subject to possession of an appropriate medical certificate of fitness for competitive athletics (no other wording) that is valid.
   The medical certificate for foreigners not residing in Italy can be issued in their own country, but the same tests required by Italian legislation (Ministerial Decree 18/02/82) must have been performed: a) medical examination; b) complete urine test; c) resting and post-exercise electrocardiogram; d) spirography. All declarations and test reports must be authentic or compliant with the originals.
   The medical certificate form, which must be completed, signed, and stamped by your doctor, can be downloaded from:

   These athletes will be regularly included in the race rankings, but will not be eligible for reimbursements, bonuses, or access to the prize pool

5. Foreign athletes not residing in Italy and not registered who intend to run the marathon or half marathon non-competitively for tourism/sports purposes. Foreign citizens residing abroad are eligible to participate. They must be at least 20 years of age (as of 2006) and not registered with a club affiliated with FIDAL or a foreign athletics club affiliated with World Athletics. They must sign the appropriate waiver when collecting their race pack. IMPORTANT: By choosing this option, the athlete will have a unique bib, will be listed alphabetically with the time completed, and will not be eligible for any prizes in kind or money

• Medical certificates must state: "fit for competitive athletics." Medical certificates issued for other sports or with wording such as "running," "running," "marathon," or "half marathon" are not valid for participation

• RUNCARD and RUNCARD-EPS cards are renewable. The card's expiration date is indicated on the card. If, during the card inspection, it is found that it has expired, the athlete will NOT be able to participate unless they present a receipt for the online renewal

• Athletes who do not have a RUNCARD can obtain one at the following web address: www.runcard.com
  It is mandatory to show a copy of the original documentation (Runcard, medical certificate) when collecting the bib

• The time limit has been set at 5:30 hours for the Marathon and 2:50 hours for the Half Marathon, after which no traffic closure is guaranteed

• Your subscription includes: technical and medical assistance; third-party liability insurance; official event jersey; race bib and pins; refreshments along the route; refreshment pack upon arrival; timing service via MyLaps transponder; restrooms; insurance; luggage storage; medal upon arrival; awards ceremony as per technical regulations; route closed to traffic; official program and informational materials
